Himalayan Hunting

INTRODUCTION

This is to introduce our hunting section specializing in very quality hunting adventures throughout Nepal. Backed by our team of experienced Outfitter and Professional Hunter, our clients can be assured of having what may be called “The Ultimate Adventure”.

This small Himalayan country called Nepal offers as much hunting adventure as can be found anyplace in Asia. This country has a tremendous amount of variation in its terrain, taking in a large part of the “Great Himalayan Mountain Range” in which, not forgetting its foothills, contain some of the most unusual game found in the world.

This hunting outfitter has been catering to clients from all over the world for over two decades-All our clients have gone back home extremely satisfied with trophies that would go high in the record book, not forgetting the memories of the mountains and its people. For blue sheep only:

Not included in cost –all air charters inside nepal, including helicopter charters, local conservation and develoment fees, accomodation in kathmandu in 5 star hotel, sightseeing around kathmandu, tips, alcohol, insurance of any kind, international travel before and after arrival, taxidermy charges or shipping of trophys, animals wounded and lost in the field.

Types & Time of hunting

1. We provide two types of huntng : high altitude where the hunt can take place upto 15,000 ft in the mountains and the low altitude near sea level in the terai jungle (under planning – currently unavailable). High altitude hunt consists of blue sheep and the himalayan tahr. 

2. The ideal time for the hunts are between march & april and between october & november for high altitudes. 

3. Only 3 pax per hunt is accepted for high altitude hunting.  In special circumstances a maximum of 4 pax is allowed.

4. The duration of hunt is approximately 10 days for blue sheep or the himalayan tahr.  For a combined hunt, the time frame will be approximately 2 weeks.  In the event the client wishes to spend more time, then we can extend to 19 days if so required. Less than the estimated time frame will not be ideal for a successful hunt.

Terms and conditions:

1.   We recommend that you make your bookings at least 10 months prior to the hunt date.  Bookings will be subject to availability.

2.  Immediately on finalizing and booking the hunt a 50% down payment per person is neded to confirm the booking and to hold the dates.  Without the down payment the date cannot be held and the dates will be open for other interested parties.

3.  The balance of payment must reach us within 4 months prior to arrival.

4. Should there be unavoidable political crisis like civil war or natural calamaties or elections, which does not allow the hunt to take place on the given dates, the client will be informed immediately and new dates will be fixed as per the clients request. Should the client not be able to make new dates, a full refund, less 25% for handling fee, will be given back to the client.

Cancellations

1.   The downpayments less 50% is refundable to the client if the    cancellations are made 240 days before arrival.  After that, no refund unless a replacement hunter is found.

2.  The balance of the total fees payment of which is mentioned above in clause 2, which is made 4 months before arrival, is non refunable once made, unless a replacement hunter is found

Insurance: purchase of accident, hospitalization and trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended to our clients.

Irregularity of flights: while everything is done to comply with the time tables, irregularity of flights and time tables do occur in the high mountains due to weather and climatic conditions. Expenses resulting from such irregularities and cancellation are borne by the clients themselves

Other Information

all the clients, hunters and non-hunters, need to send us 8 passport size photos, a photocopy of the main page of a valid passport and exact rifle details.  This information should be sent by post or courier at least 3 months prior to their arrival. The rifle details are very important in that should there be any mistake in exact names and serial numbers, there is a possibility of the arms and ammo being held up at customs in the airport. Hunters should pass us information regarding their rifles exactly as it is given on the barrel of the rifle.-Name of rifle, serial number, bore of rifle. Ammo can only consist of 40 rounds maximum.

Others: though we try and run a professional and seamless high quality hunt during which all possible care is extended to our valued cilent, the outfitter will not be responsible for any type of accident if occurred.
